Abstraction Media is developing a new visually driven comedy podcast series and is seeking an experienced Showrunner/Producer to oversee creative and production operations.

This is an opportunity to help shape a style-forward show from the ground up. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, talent-led environment and knows how to craft compelling, format-based content with a strong editorial point of view. You’ll play a key role in shaping the show’s voice, pacing, guest experience, and production rhythm, from development through post.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Lead role in development of show structure, guest booking strategy, and segment planning
• Coordinate production schedules that align with host and guest availability
• Manage pre-interview prep and oversee shoot day logistics to ensure smooth, on-brand execution
• Oversee coordination among talent, crew, and post teams
• Maintain an ambitious vision for the show, constantly seeking ways to innovate and improve
• Identify brand integration opportunities and monetization strategies across social and digital channels

Ideal Candidates Have:

• Experience producing or showrunning unscripted, talk, or variety content
• Experience organizing and managing live studio audiences
• Familiarity with video/audio editing software and production workflows
• Strong editorial instincts for story, format, and pacing
• Proven ability to lead and collaborate with both on-camera talent and behind-the-scenes crew
• Strong understanding of social media platforms, audience trends, and performance analytics
