We are currently seeking a Recycling Supervisor for one of our clients located in KWC region , to support their metal recycling plant.
Pay - 70K to 75KKey Responsibilities
Supervise scrap yard personnel to ensure safe and efficient placement, movement, and processing of scrap cars, trucks, and materials
Plan, organize, and control incoming and outgoing scrap to maintain smooth yard operations
Oversee proper inspection of incoming scrap in coordination with the Scrap Inspector; make final decisions on acceptance or rejection
Ensure all equipment is operated correctly to prevent damage, reduce downtime, and extend equipment life
Identify equipment issues, coordinate repairs, and implement corrective actions to minimize breakdowns
Develop, implement, train, and audit standard operating procedures for scrap yard activities
Schedule staff, manage work hours, approve overtime when required, and document performance or disciplinary actions
Coordinate with Traffic, Sales, and Purchasing teams to ensure timely truck loading and unloading, including managing peak-volume periods
Lead team meetings and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, productivity, and material recovery
Enforce housekeeping standards to maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment
Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and company policies at all times
Qualifications & Experience:
University degree with 2 3 years of related supervisory experience or 5 7 years of hands-on experience in the scrap metal or recycling industry
Strong working knowledge of scrap metal grades, steel types, and material classifications
Proven leadership experience in an industrial, recycling, or scrap yard environment
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers, scrap suppliers, drivers, and internal teams
Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills
