Job Description

Our Large Healthcare Client is Looking to Hire a Patient Service Representative for a 2 MONTH, ONSITE, W2 CONTRACT - APPLY TODAY!

**CANDIDATE MUST BE LOCAL TO GAHANNA, OH. AS THIS IS AN ONSITE ROLE**

$$: $18-20/hr. DOE

Responsibilities:

  • Answer phones, respond to inquiries, direct calls, or document messages for medical staff
  • Retrieve and route voicemails
  • Provide general information such as address, directions, and office details
  • Schedule appointments and verify patient demographics and insurance
  • Enter appointment data into the electronic practice management system (EPM)
  • Contact patients to remind them of appointments
  • Distribute new patient information packets and assist with form completion
  • Greet and direct patients, vendors, and visitors
  • Check patients in, verify insurance eligibility, and obtain copies of insurance cards
  • Enter and retrieve patient data from the computer system
  • Confirm insurance eligibility using available tools
  • Collect, record, and process payments; prepare transaction reports
  • Sort and route mail and publications
  • Conduct patient outreach as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Medical office or customer service experience preferred

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with diverse populations, including individuals who are ill or upset
  • Basic math proficiency
  • Ability to follow instructions and troubleshoot issues
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email systems, and web-based programs
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at once

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to sit, stand, and move intermittently throughout the day
  • Visual, auditory, and manual dexterity required
  • Occasionally able to lift or carry up to 15 pounds
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment
  • Capable of communicating via phone, email, and in person
