Role Description

This is a part-time job with the potential of full-time for a Legal Assistant. The position is based in New Providence, NJ, but includes the flexibility of working from home on certain days. The ideal candidate will have excellent dictation/transcription skills and a strong willingness to take on a variety of tasks to support our attorneys and office staff. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a dynamic work environment and is eager to grow professionally in a legal setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transcribe attorney dictation accurately and efficiently.
  • Prepare and format legal documents, correspondence, and reports.
  • Assist with case file management, both digital and physical.
  • Support attorneys and other staff with day-today administrative needs.

Requirements:

  • Prior Experience as a legal assistant or in an administrative support role in a legal setting.
  • Excellent typing and transcription skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and comfortable learning legal software.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Willingness to take initiative and assist wherever needed.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures.
  • Experience in civil litigation.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
