Job Description

We are seeking an experienced  Turf Care Professional to  develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive turf care program for our large-scale landscape operations. The ideal candidate will have a  minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in turf management , including  chemical applications , and will be licensed to apply  herbicides and pesticides in accordance with state and federal regulations.

This is a leadership position responsible for ensuring the health and aesthetics of turf across multiple commercial and residential properties. You will be integral in designing turf care strategies, selecting appropriate products and equipment, training field staff, and ensuring compliance with environmental and safety standards.

The start date for this role will be  December 2025 .

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a scalable, results-driven turf care program for a diverse portfolio of properties.
  • Conduct soil testing, turf evaluations, and diagnose issues related to weeds, pests, disease, or nutrient deficiencies.
  • Apply and oversee applications of fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, and other turf care products in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage turf health through proper mowing practices, irrigation coordination, aeration, overseeding, and other cultural methods.
  • Maintain accurate records of applications, treatments, and results for internal tracking and external reporting.
  • Train and supervise field technicians in turf care procedures, equipment use, and safety practices.
  • Stay current on turf care trends, products, and local regulations to continually improve program effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with sales and account management teams to support client communications and upsell turf-related services.
  • Ensure equipment is properly maintained and calibrated for safe and effective chemical applications.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of professional turf care experience in a commercial landscaping or golf course setting.
  • Valid and current Herbicide and Pesticide Applicator License (state-specific certification required).
  • Strong knowledge of turfgrass species, soil science, weed/pest identification, and chemical control methods.
  • Proven ability to create and manage seasonal turf care schedules across multiple sites.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Experience in staff training and mentoring a plus.
  • Working knowledge of turf application equipment (e.g., sprayers, spreaders, aerators).
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and environmental regulations.
  • Proficient in maintaining records and using basic software for tracking and reporting.
