Corporate Tax Preparer (2-3 Years Experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking a self motivated, detail-oriented Corporate Tax Preparer with 2-3 years of hands-on experience in preparing and filing corporate tax returns. This role is for a motivated professional looking for a growth opportunity position. Flexible hours, allowing you to prepare tax returns at times that are convenient for you and your family. The ideal candidate will also have strong proficiency in QuickBooks for bookkeeping tasks and experience handling payroll filings and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal and state corporate tax returns (e.g., Form 1120, 1120S, multi-state filings) for accuracy and compliance with current tax laws.
• Manage payroll processing, including calculating withholdings, preparing quarterly filings (e.g., Form 941), and ensuring timely deposits and reporting.
• Utilize QuickBooks (Online) to maintain financial records, perform reconciliations, and generate reports.
• Analyze financial statements and client data to identify deductions, credits, and potential tax-saving opportunities.
• Assist with tax planning, respond to client inquiries, and support questions when necessary.
• Stay updated on tax regulations and best practices to ensure full compliance.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in corporate tax preparation
• Proven familiarity with QuickBooks for accounting and bookkeeping tasks.
• Hands-on experience with payroll filings, compliance, and related reporting (e.g., W-2s, 1099s).
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax codes.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Excel.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is a plus.
