The Position

Overview

The Social Media Marketing Specialist is responsible for bringing Baby Academy’s mission to life across social platforms. This role combines day-to-day execution with purpose-driven storytelling, ensuring our content connects with expecting and new parents in meaningful ways. The Specialist will own the posting calendar, develop copy and visuals, monitor community engagement, and provide insights that shape our future social strategy.

Core Responsibilities

Manage the daily posting schedule across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn.

Draft copy and select visuals aligned with Baby Academy’s voice, ethos, and mission.

Monitor community engagement: respond to comments/messages, flag sensitive issues, and nurture authentic conversations.

Track and report on performance (reach, engagement, growth) and use insights to refine content.

Identify social trends and opportunities that keep Baby Academy’s presence fresh and relevant.

Collaborate with marketing peers to amplify campaigns, highlight parent stories, and align with broader initiatives.

The Person

Qualifications & Experience

2–4 years of experience managing social media for a brand, nonprofit, or community organization.

Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.

Familiarity with social analytics tools and a willingness to grow technical expertise.

Empathy for parents and excitement to contribute to a mission-driven team.

Highly organized; able to manage calendars, priorities, and deadlines effectively.

Education
