Our Occupational Therapists enjoy some notable benefits: * $45.00 - $50.00 hour As an Occupational Therapist, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Provide occupational therapy to students unable to perform daily tasks due to an illness or injury.
• Work with a team of nurses, CNAs, PTs and SLPs to provide excellent patient care
• Assist in evaluation of patient function, deficits, fall risks and adaptive equipment needs
• Assess student, establish therapy goals, document progress and modify therapy as needed
• Assist student with exercises to improve fine motor skills and coordination
• Educate students and family on established goals, exercises, safety and self-care

A few must-haves for Occupational Therapists:

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program and active OT license in VA
• Minimum of 3 years of occupational therapy experience in a medical facility
• CPR certification
• Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations
• Good clinical judgment, strong interpersonal skills, resourceful and compassionate
