Job location: Chicago

Hours expected: 40 hours per week, 8 hours shift

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Sales Specialist is responsible for delivering best in class client service, achieving individual sales goals, building lasting client relationship as well as understanding Boutique operating processes. Upon joining, they will receive in-depth training about Christofle’s history, company culture, and product catalog. This position reports to the Boutique Manager and works with the Customer Service, Finance, Visual Merchandising, Marketing and Logistics teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales Performance:

  • Achieve and exceed individual Sales Goals
  • Maintain a strong drive for results and a positive, team first attitude at all times.

Client Development:

  • Ensure a welcoming client focused environment, which includes offering best in class service, in person, over the phone and through electronic communication.
  • Develop local and international client book with the ability to recruit and develop top clients, inclusive of interior designers, estate managers, corporations.
  • Demonstrate strong product expertise, engage clients through the details and stories of our products.
  • Assist and support after sales client requests inclusive of engraving and repairs.
  • Act as a referent and provide recommendations that will provide an exceptional client experience.
  • Problem solve in partnership with leadership team to ensure that each client issue is properly resolved to the benefit of the business.

Boutique Operations:

  • Maintain visual merchandising and housekeeping standards as well as product care.
  • Assist in inventory management functions including organizing stock on floor and stockroom, transfers, receiving, UPS, and messenger shipping.
  • Participate in all inventory and cycle counts and protect the assets of the Boutique through understanding and complying with operating procedures.
  • Participate in executing all POS transactions, inclusive of sales, returns, packing or wrapping customers’ merchandise.

  • Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job, including phone systems, POS systems, computers, and all other office equipment.
  • Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Can stand for extended periods, move, and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures, must be able to lift at least 30 lbs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years Retail Sales and Client Service experience, preferably in a luxury consumer goods environment.
  • Strong drive for business results with a passion for creativity, fashion.
  • Provide outstanding customer service including in person, over the phone, and through electronic communication.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Retail Store hours, weekends and on-call as needed.
  • Routine computer, phone, scanner, photocopier usage.
  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, up to 30 pounds, sometimes heavier using hand truck.
  • Climbing stairs, ladders, reaching, bending often with materials in hand.
  • Standing for long periods of time.
  • Irregular hours especially during peak season and events.
