Job Title: Sales Assistant

Department: AXNY Home (Bedding & Bath)

Location: New York, NY (On-site)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Sales Assistant to support our sales and merchandising team. This role is ideal for someone highly organized with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, and a passion for home textiles. The position offers an excellent growth path into sales or merchandising for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and organize all sales documentation, including notes, images, spreadsheets, and calendars
• Prepare and send pricing and imagery to retail accounts
• Communicate product updates and colorway changes to the production team
• Create and update PowerPoint presentations and Excel pricing sheets
• Take detailed notes during internal and client meetings (OneNote proficiency preferred)
• Assist in maintaining and preparing the showroom for meetings and line reviews
• Support the team in managing costing information and line updates

Qualifications:

• 1–2 years of experience in a support, merchandising, or customer-facing role (home textiles background a strong plus)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Willingness to learn the home category and grow into a merchandising or sales role

Salary: The anticipated base salary is $65k – $70k annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, internal equity, and location.
