**Rigger (3rd Class) - Career Opportunity - San Diego, CA** **Job Description** As a Rigger, you will complete the setup and repair of rigging both in the shop and on site with minimal supervision. You will be responsible for aligning and anchoring machinery, attaching loads, controlling the movement of heavy equipment, and ensuring that the rigging plan is safe prior to execution. **Responsibilities** + Complete the setup and repair of rigging in the shop and on site with minimal supervision. + Align and anchor machinery. + Attach loads and control the movement of heavy equipment. + Ensure the rigging plan is safe prior to execution. + Perform other related tasks as assigned. **Essential Skills** + Minimum of 2 years of previous shipyard, Rigging, or Navy experience.. + Ability to work in a variety of environments, including confined spaces and at heights of 20 feet or more. **Work Environment** + Work will take place at various shipyards including NASSCO, BAE, the Naval Base, CMSD, and NBSD. The position follows a 1st shift schedule from 6 am to 2:30 pm, with flexibility required for overtime from Monday to Saturday.
