[Job Opening: Research Fellow at KIPEC (Korea Inter-Parliamentary Exchange Center) in Washington, D.C.]
KIPEC is seeking to hire a Research Fellow to support various research activities related to the U.S. Congress.
1. Qualifications:
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in social science-related fields such as political science, law, public administration, journalism, business administration, economics, international relations, or foreign affairs.
• Native or fluent English proficiency.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other related software.
2. Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct research on the U.S. Congress, including its systems, politics, and policy issues, as well as Korea-U.S. relations.
• Prepare various regular and ad hoc research reports.
• Collaborate on research projects with other institutes, including joint seminars and similar initiatives.
• Support exchange programs aimed at fostering ties with the U.S. Congress.
3. Working Conditions:
• Contract Term:One-year renewable contract.
• Working Hours:Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. (with a one-hour lunch break from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.)
• Salary:$5,000 – $7,000 per month, based on experience and qualifications.
• Vacation and Other Benefits:To be discussed with selected candidates.
• Expected Start Date: July (exact date to be determined).
