Public Tax Accountant

Oklahoma City, OK

Compensation: $75,000 – $95,000 per year + Bonus
Hybrid Work Schedule Available

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tax Accountant to join our growing firm in Oklahoma City. This role is crucial to our success, involving the preparation of high-level tax returns for multi-million dollar organizations, managing staff, and contributing to the growth of our client base. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely tax compliance while providing mentorship and guidance to junior team members. Responsibilities:

  • Prepare complex tax returns for multi-million dollar organizations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Review and supervise the preparation of individual and business tax returns by staff members.
  • Mentor and coach staff members, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and career development.
  • Gather and analyze client financial data and relevant tax information to ensure accurate tax return preparation.
  • Proactively identify and analyze tax situations from various perspectives to maximize tax benefits for clients.
  • Network and build strong relationships with potential and existing clients, contributing to business development and attracting new clients to the firm.
  • Bill clients for services rendered and provide clear explanations of fees.
  • Stay up-to-date on current tax laws, regulations, and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable):

  • Active CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) license.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting, specifically in tax preparation and review.
