Job Description

Adecco Creative and Marketing has partnered with a leading educational publishing company to hire a Production Manager.

This contract is hybrid, three days onsite, 35-38hrs/wk. The pay is $50-$55/hr.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate all aspects of production from manuscript to press-ready files, as assigned by the Director of Production, in concert with all stakeholders, ensuring adherence to schedule and budget

• Resolve or escalate queries throughout the production process, in consultation with the Director of Production, Art Directors, and Editorial staff

• Create, revise, and maintain production schedules, as assigned, for weekly production status meetings

• Traffic files between departments and outside vendors using WoodWing’s Enterprise database publishing system

• Assist with the processing of production-related invoices and vendor contracts

• Create and route spec information for all assigned manufactured products to obtain unit costs

• Maintain digital archives of completed products

Qualifications:

• Thorough understanding of the principles of print production, with multichannel publishing experience

• Relevant work experience

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, balancing the needs of multiple concurrent projects under tight deadlines

• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

• Familiarity with managing the dependencies of interconnected components in large programs

• Proficiency with macOS, Adobe InDesign CC 2021, Adobe Acrobat Pro, the Microsoft Office suite of apps, and GSuite.

• Proven ability to diplomatically implement workflow standards and achieve buy-in from all stakeholders

• Familiarity with WoodWing Enterprise or K4 publishing systems a plus

This is a W2 position.
