Overview

We’re seeking a hands-on Packaging R&D Technician to support our Packaging Research & Development team. This role focuses on creating and testing packaging concepts while maintaining a collaborative, fast-paced lab environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Learn and apply R&D packaging methods and operate lab equipment.
• Edit existing artwork files in Adobe Illustrator for printer setup, including color separation and die-line configurations.
• Use a Client Latex R1000 proofing printer to print packaging concepts: create substrate recipes, perform color calibration, and ensure accurate color matching.
• Operate a Kongsberg cutting table to cut blank and printed samples.
• Maintain material inventory, perform routine equipment maintenance, and help develop new lab capabilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; 1–3 years of R&D lab experience .
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
• Ability to lift 10–50 lbs and work independently.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of packaging materials, component making, or process qualification.
• Prior experience in a packaging or R&D laboratory.
