ResponsibilitiesResponsible for performing functions as authorized under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. In addition, performs basic nursing tasks to include patient care, reporting patient conditions, circumstances, and maintaining equipment and unit cleanliness. The nurse extern must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit.
Conditions: May be required to work irregular schedules. Potential exposure to hazard materials/situations to include but not limited to, blood-borne pathogens, ionizing radiation, and communicable diseases.
