Marketing Coordinator

Reports to Marketing Manager

Word on Fire Catholic Ministries is a nonprofit global media apostolate that supports the work of Bishop Robert Barron and reaches millions of people to draw them into—or back to—the Catholic faith.

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating dozens of campaigns for Word on Fire’s digital and physical assets including: books, courses, events, and films. The Marketing Coordinator will also create a constant flow of traffic to Word on Fire sales pages and increase their conversion rate by brainstorming fresh ideas and other funnel entry points into Word on Fire’s offerings. This position is crucial in expanding the evangelical work of Bishop Barron and Word on Fire.

Responsibilities

  • Brainstorm and implement high-converting angles and headlines, visual assets, and sales strategy for each product
  • Build and manage dozens of optimized sales and landing pages
  • A/B test varieties of sales pages to optimize for page conversion rate and average cart value through the use of bundling and upsells 
  • A/B test of visual advertising assets to increase traffic to sales pages
  • Act as a point of contact for asset requests to the Design and Production teams
  • Writes compelling marketing copy for ads, organic social media posts and emails with a careful attention toward engagement, conversion and brand-tone
  • Coordinate asset needs and deadlines for marketing campaigns across email, social, digital platforms
  • Maintain campaign visibility by tracking progress, status, and assets through project management software
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure creative assets meet campaign needs and deadlines
  • Attend weekly marketing and interdepartmental meetings to align priorities and project timelines
  • Conduct basic market research to inform potential expansion into new digital channels

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple asset workflows simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills; able to work across departments and balance competing timelines
  • Tech-savvy and quick to learn new software and tools related to ad management and page building
  • Team player with a proactive mindset and attention to detail
  • Strong copywriting skills 
  • Commitment to the mission of Word on Fire

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Bishop Barron, Word on Fire, the Bible, Catechism of the Catholic Church , and magisterial teachings of the Catholic Church
  • Knowledge of online marketing trends
  • An appreciation for the beauty and dignity of the Word on Fire brand
  • Understanding of page building, HTML, and CSS

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated base pay range for this position is $27.47 - $32.42 hourly (equivalent to $50,000 - $59,000 annually, based on a 35-hour, full-time work week). Word on Fire determines individual compensation on several factors, including but not limited to, experience, skills, alignment with the role’s responsibilities, and geographic location. This role may be eligible for annual merit increases based on individual performance.
