Senior Manufacturing Engineer

12 month contract

On-site in Redmond, WA

Must be able to work on a W2

Second Shift: 12 PM to 10 PM PST (Flexible, 4x10 or 5x8 shifts) M-F

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to support process improvement and ensure manufacturing quality, safety, and efficiency. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, validate, and implement new manufacturing methods and equipment. You will resolve production issues, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Job Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate fabrication, installation, operation, and maintenance of mechanical or electromechanical equipment, machines, and systems.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes meet quality and industry standards.
  • Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of centralized systems (heat, gas, water, steam).
  • Evaluate mechanical products for cost effectiveness, efficiency, and recommend design modifications.
  • Resolve manufacturing issues by identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Production, Design Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Purchasing to improve processes and reduce risk.
  • Develop and implement new manufacturing processes, concepts, and best practices.
  • Create and maintain process documentation and conduct experiments to validate process changes.
  • Train assemblers in new or updated processes.
  • Manage production line balancing, tooling, equipment installation, and qualification.
  • Evaluate product designs and support DF(X) improvements.
  • Improve ergonomics, material presentation, and packaging methods.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in process design, development, and process/equipment qualification or validation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collect and analyze data (preferred).
