Job Description

Position : Managing Immigration Attorney

Duration : Full Time

Location : Greenville, SC (Onsite)

Salary : 145-165K

Relocation Package Available

Discretionary Annual Bonus Available

Position Overview:

Insight Global's client is seeking a highly experienced Managing Immigration Attorney to join our firm. This role requires not only deep expertise in U.S. immigration law but also proven leadership skills. The Managing Immigration Attorney will offer strategic legal guidance and oversee a team of attorneys, paralegals, and support staff. The attorney will conduct client consultations and play a key role in lead conversion by building trust and effectively communicating the firm’s value.

Must Haves:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed in any state .
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in immigration law with exposure to family-based and deportation matters.
  • 2+ years of experience managing, mentoring, or supervising legal teams.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to client service and highest ethical standards.

Plusses:

  • Experience in removal defense and federal court litigation.

Day to Day:

Legal Practice:

  1. May represent clients in complex immigration matters, including family-based, humanitarian relief, deportation defense, and federal litigation where applicable.
  2. Provide high-level legal analysis, strategy, and case management.
  3. Review and supervise filings to ensure accuracy and compliance with immigration laws and regulations.
  4. Stay current with changes in immigration law, policy, and procedure.

Leadership & Team Management:

  1. Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of junior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
  2. Conduct regular case reviews, provide feedback, and ensure high standards of legal work.
  3. Manage team workload distribution and monitor productivity.
  4. Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  5. Contribute to the professional development of team members through training and performance evaluations.

Client Relations:

  1. Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients.
  2. Conduct consultations with integrity and empathy following Firm standards to convert leads into clients.
  3. Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  4. Handle sensitive and high-profile cases with discretion and professionalism.

Firm Development:

  1. Collaborate with partners on firm strategy, growth initiatives, and process improvements.
  2. Assist in business development by participating in networking, community events, and thought leadership opportunities.
  3. Support the implementation of policies and procedures that enhance efficiency and client satisfaction.
