We are seeking an experienced Pain Management Nurse Practitioner to provide long-term locum tenens coverage in Berlin, NH, and at an affiliated outreach clinic to the north. The ideal candidate will have current, hands-on experience in pain management and be comfortable practicing autonomously in an outpatient setting.
Schedule:
4–5 days per week
1–2 days/week at the outreach clinic (once acclimated)
3–4 days/week in Berlin, NH
Patient volume: 12–16 per day, depending on mix
Visit lengths: 60 minutes for new consultations; 30 minutes for established patients
Responsibilities:
Conduct new patient consultations and follow-up visits for adult pain management cases
Provide office-based medication management, medical cannabis certification, patient education, and counseling
Monitor medication compliance through PDPM and urine drug screening
Perform or refer for appropriate pain interventions (e.g., epidural steroid injections, radiofrequency ablation, facet or SI joint injections, nerve blocks)
Perform minor procedures such as trigger point and joint injections, occipital blocks, cold ablation (Iovera), and Botox for headaches or chronic pain (depending on experience)
Utilize ultrasound guidance when appropriate for selected procedures
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and ensure continuity of care
Qualifications:
Active New Hampshire NP license or ability to obtain quickly via compact licensure
Current experience and expertise in pain management
