We’re seeking a Lead Estimator to join our Industrial Services Division (HVAC Ducting/Insulation/Piping) supporting the life sciences, pharmaceutical, healthcare, higher education, and infrastructure sectors.

• Salary range; $100-145k/yr+ (negotiable)

• Located in New Castle, DE, hours are 730am-4pm

• Requires knowledge of piping and duct work/installations (nonresidential)

• Requires experience with $2.5m+ projects (schools, manufacturing plants, etc)

• Leadership skills, ability to manage workload and lead a small team of 5 estimators

What You’ll Do:

• Lead estimating efforts from initial concept through final GMP submission, including detailed takeoffs, labor calculations, and scope development.
• Create competitive bid strategies, identify scope gaps, and highlight cost-saving opportunities to give our proposals an edge.
• Manage relationships with subcontractors and vendors, evaluate proposals, and present estimates to internal teams and clients.
• Maintain cost databases and benchmarks, working closely with project managers to ensure alignment with client goals and budgets.
• Take the lead in estimating duct and piping insulation packages as part of broader MEP-focused construction efforts.

What We’re Looking For:

• 5–10 years of experience in estimating commercial and industrial construction projects, especially in sectors like pharma, healthcare, and infrastructure.
• Strong background in general or mechanical contracting, estimating, and a passion for leading teams to deliver value in complex projects.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems, industrial ducting, piping, bid logistics, labor rates, material costs, and local building codes.
• Proven desire to mentor staff, manage deadlines, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills with an eye for value engineering and innovation.
