Studio Raw Elite is seeking an
Assistant to support the salon team by ensuring a clean, efficient, and welcoming environment for clients and staff. You’ll assist with guest services, shampooing, salon upkeep, product organization, and more, all while helping uphold the refined standards of our salon experience.
Key Responsibilities: - Greet clients warmly, offer refreshments, and ensure a seamless check-in experience.
- Prepare and maintain styling stations, including sanitizing tools and surfaces.
- Assist stylists with cleaning tint bowls, brushes, utensils, stock color and shampoo back bar, provide fresh wax materials, sweeping, take out trash, maintain cleanliness and replenish supplies as needed for cafe, lounge and restroom areas .
- Shampoo, condition, and prep clients for services as directed by stylists.
- Maintain cleanliness throughout the salon, including floors, restroom, and common areas.
- Assist with laundry, towel management, and replenishing backbar products.
- Support stylists with blow-drying, product setup, or light color applications (if licensed).
- Organize and restock retail and product inventory.
- Assist with appointment flow, ensuring clients move smoothly through their services.
- Recommends and promotes hair products based on client needs.
- Keeps current with product knowledge of all retail and professional lines.
- Maintains knowledge of scheduling software .
- Performs front desk duties such as answering phones, relaying messages, scheduling clients and checking in and out clientele as needed.
- Performs daily side work, special projects, and/or other tasks as assigned.
Required Skills &
Qualifications: - High school diploma or GED. Cosmetology license not required but preferred.
- 1+ year experience in a supervisory or customer service role within a high-end salon or similar environment.
- Strong understanding of salon operations and client service standards, including scheduling, inventory management and client booking systems.
- Proficiency in salon software and point-of-sale systems preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with hairdressing services and products.
Physical Demands of Position: - Assistant will be on their feet extended periods of time, walking around the floor to monitor needs of staff and guests.
- Tasks like restocking shelves and assisting with displays may require bending, stooping, and reaching for items at various heights.
- May need to lift up to 20lbs and carry items like laundry baskets and product cases.
