Paul Mitchell the School Charleston is seeking a Student Financial Services Advisor-

Monday through Friday (Some Saturdays)

Financial Aid Advisor Role

The Financial Aid Advisor will be responsible for ongoing administration and processing of Title IV and other forms of financial aid to ensure that student tuition and other payments are received timely and properly recorded and that student financial aid files are maintained in a complete, organized, and accurate manner. The FA Assistant will also assist with financial aid advising, enrollment contracting, and compliance-related tasks.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have experience with Title IV Financial Aid Administration. Must be able to work well with numerical data with detail and accuracy, while having excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This person must demonstrate integrity, ethical behavior, and a high level of confidentiality in working with very sensitive information. The position requires the ability to focus on a variety of tasks in a very fast-paced environment. He or she must contribute to an organized and effective office and have a genuine desire for helping others achieve their goals.

Financial Aid Assistant Role

  • The Student Financial Services Advisor creates and implements a customer-focused financial aid plan that supports
  • The Paul Mitchell Schools’ culture, the admissions process and service in the school, and the Future Professionals.
  • This is a vital position to the school, as this person prepares all paperwork pertaining to grants and loans and counsels and advises Future Professionals and parents on financial aid eligibility and guidelines.
  • He or she conducts regular inspections of the financial files for compliance with all required documentation. Additionally, he or she has knowledge of current regulations pertinent to the release of student information.
  • This position helps to meet and exceed enrollment goals

Skills/Competencies Required:

  • Title IV financial aid administration
  • High school diploma or GED required, Bachelor’s degree a plus.
  • Strong computer, Math and data entry skills required
  • Ability to multitask and work with speed and accuracy
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Solid work history with verifiable references
  • Passion for the beauty industry
  • Honesty and professionalism
