Position Overview:
MBJ Network is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented **Event Planner - Intern** to assist in organizing and executing various events. This role offers valuable experience in event coordination, logistics, vendor relations, and attendee engagement. The ideal candidate is creative, organized, and passionate about bringing ideas to life through impactful events. Key Responsibilities:


- Assist in planning and coordinating events, from concept to execution
- Research and communicate with vendors, venues, and sponsors
- Support marketing efforts, including social media promotion and outreach
- Manage guest lists, registrations, and attendee communication
- Help prepare event materials, schedules, and presentations
- Attend and support events, ensuring seamless execution
- Collect post-event feedback and assist in reporting insights

- Pursuing a degree in Event Planning, Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, or a related field
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Job Description



Event Duties: 3-6 months
Event planners work closely with our production team to determine the purpose and scope of an event. They establish the time, location, and sets a budget for the planner. Working under these parameters, the event planner seeks bids from local meeting places and service providers, such as caterers. The event planner may need to contract for lodging and transportation services for guests, or arrange meetings and breakout sessions within an event.

During the Event:
The planner supervises setup for the event, including the use of equipment such as sound systems and video screens. While the event is in progress, the planner works to keep the guests and host satisfied and strives to meet their needs. A successful planner makes sure the event stays on schedule and that featured speakers or performers are prepared and cued. At the conclusion, the event planner is responsible for supervising cleanup. The planner meets with the client to review the event.

Qualifications



Pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Marketing or Credentials that relate to event planning
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Possess creativity, flexibility, variety, and growth potential.
- Should be open-minded, a fast learner, enthusiastic, and adaptable.
