POSITION SUMMARY:

The ERP Architect for Operations & Commercial is responsible for coordinating optimization efforts, troubleshooting user issues, and implementing system upgrades for the company’s ERP system Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations (D365). Working as part of the Continuous Improvement Team, you will help promote ERP system architecture control, develop and implement enterprise solutions, and interface directly with users within the organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Exercise personal safety best practices, complete necessary training activities, and contribute to group safety culture by participating in team toolbox sessions as well as making observations while visiting Balchem sites
  • Support delivery of corporate financial goals
  • Lead the Optimization teams for Commercial and Operations/R&D. Work with established Subject Matter Expert (SME) teams to solicit ideas and evaluate execution possibilities
  • Review all available features and enhancements in update versions from Microsoft and coordinate with SME the review and, if necessary, implementation and testing of such with the SME
  • Coordinate and/or assist with D365-related projects as defined by senior management or as a result of Optimization review
  • Collaborate with Internal Audit to prepare and execute site process review worksheets to identify and document which system processes are being utilized at the sites
  • Support deployment of D365 as part of integration of acquisitions
  • Ability and willingness to learn, understand, follow and promote documented work procedures.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business discipline or equivalent
  • 3-5 years' experience in operation, architecture design, and maintenance of an ERP system
  • Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, ERP)
  • Clear sense of urgency and ability to manage priorities to meet immediate needs and long-term goals
  • Ability to manage time and workload efficiently, and the ability to prioritize and modify priorities accordingly
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated ability to work and develop others in a team environment
  • Sensitive to other cultures/backgrounds, able to work in a multi-cultural workplace
  • Demonstrated ability to function in a fast-paced environment while moving multiple simultaneous projects forward
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to discuss, develop, and implement plans
  • High sensitivity to quality and on time delivery of commitments
  • Willingness and ability to respectfully hold team and peers accountable for execution and overall reliability performance
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time
