Job Description

Days & Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm, 40 hours per week.

Location: Onsite

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Support design and manufacturing teams by providing technical expertise, ensuring designs meet requirements, and addressing manufacturing challenges.
• Investigate, and resolve product issues and manufacturing problems, including performing root cause analysis to understand the underlying causes.
• Work closely with other engineering disciplines, quality assurance, manufacturing, and customer service teams to ensure proper operations and address issues effectively.
• Identify areas of opportunity for cost reductions and improve manufacturing efficiency, while maintaining product quality and reliability.
• Work with supply chain to ensure the quality and availability of components.
• Coordinate ECR and ECO’s while ensuring compliance with relevant standards and procedures and updating product documentation as required.
• Support project management to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Develop testing requirements to verify product performance and reliability, supporting the design verification.
• Use data driven methodologies and tools to drive and implement changes.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess problems or issues with machine design.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficient with computer-aided drafting (CAD) software. Preferably Siemens NX and SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and programming.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering – Mechanical, Industrial, Ag, or relevant experience.
• Experience with machine design, hydraulics, mechanical systems, manufacturing processes/procedures and quality practices.
• Comfortable in a shop environment building prototypes. Experience, or willing to learn, using plasma table, brake press, lathe, mill, and welders to build prototypes or test parts.
• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, or 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management systems such as Teamcenter.

Physical Requirements:

• Sit at a desk while working on a computer for prolonged periods.
• Climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Utilize specific vision abilities such as, close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Travel:

Minimal travel is expected for this position.
