Job Description

An established global investment management firm is seeking a talented and motivated Attorney to join its Legal Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer looking to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and intellectually rigorous in-house legal and compliance environment. The role involves providing legal counsel on the implications of operating a global investment management business and offers meaningful exposure and training to a broad range of legal, regulatory, and transactional matters.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel to front and back office personnel on a variety of legal and regulatory matters.
• Draft, review, and assist in the preparation of client-related disclosures and documentation, including private fund offering documents, separate account agreements, and other investor-facing materials.
• Draft, review, and negotiate trading-related agreements, including counterparty and other transaction documentation.
• Partner with the Compliance Department to support the firm's compliance program in accordance with regulatory requirements of the SEC, CFTC, and other regulatory bodies.

Qualifications

• J.D. from a top-tier law school and active bar membership in good standing.
• 3-8 years of experience at a major law firm, preferably with a focus on corporate transactions, capital markets, fund formation or investment funds.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. securities laws and the regulatory landscape affecting investment managers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong analytical and organizational abilities.
• Highly motivated, intellectually curious, and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
