Job Description

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support day-to-day project operations on large-scale Public Works construction projects. This role offers exposure to all phases of construction—from preconstruction through closeout—and is ideal for professionals looking to grow their career within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Preconstruction Support

  • Assist with estimating and budgeting efforts
  • Help prepare preliminary schedules and evaluate subcontractor proposals

Contract & Documentation Management

  • Understand and distribute all Contract Documents to appropriate project stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate and well-organized project records and documentation

Coordination & Technical Support

  • Support mechanical/electrical system coordination with BIM teams
  • Assist with constructability reviews and spatial coordination efforts

Project Controls

  • Maintain project directories, logs, and reports in alignment with internal standards
  • Assemble and update as-built drawings throughout the project lifecycle
  • Support document control protocols and ensure up-to-date working sets are maintained on-site

Scheduling & Communication

  • Assist with developing and updating detailed project schedules in collaboration with the field and project teams
  • Track and manage submittals, RFIs, and procurement activities
  • Ensure timely and accurate communication across stakeholders

Project Closeout

  • Assist in compiling and submitting closeout documentation as directed

Other Duties as Assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience supporting commercial construction projects from start to finish
  • Proficiency in construction documentation and scheduling tools
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
