We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Maintenance Planner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the effective planning and scheduling of maintenance activities to support the Maintenance Department’s operations. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving abilities, excellent planning and estimating skills, and a proactive approach to ensuring equipment reliability and minimizing downtime.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Facilitate and communicate planned maintenance activities with Maintenance Managers/Engineers.
• Manage the operation, maintenance, and efficiency of the computerized maintenance management system for the purpose of tracking equipment history, labor & material spending, and all maintenance activities related to the facility and production equipment.
• Schedule maintenance and repair work when most convenient to operations and maintenance.
• Ensure that required work is planned, scheduled, and performed efficiently and in a timely manner.
• Manage outages, long term maintenance planning for future outages, and corrective maintenance.
• Coordinate with contractors to plan and schedule repair work as necessary.
• Provides technical assistance and/or resources to address maintenance issues as required.
• Develop equipment lists and design criteria codes
• Complete timely follow-up of planned maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in a technical field; 5+ years production maintenance experience and/or 2+ years experience in a food manufacturing maintenance role strongly preferred.
• Understanding of maintenance concepts with the insight to resolve potential schedule problems before they impact production; Knowledge of operations, mechanical, electrical, and utility support systems.
• Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS); Knowledge of maintenance activities and capabilities including PdM Technologies
• Well-developed planning and estimating skills supporting the ability to manage outages projects; long term planning for future outages, corrective maintenance; and future projects.
• Strong problem solving skills and technical writing skills
• Effective, professional communication skills and team focused mentality
• Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment and prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.Position will also frequent the production floor, so operating in standard seasonal warehouse and food processing plant temperature conditions will be required. Lifting up to 50 pounds, pushing/pulling/ moving objects, and using specialized tools, equipment, and machines is required. Operating in standard seasonal warehouse and food processing plant temperature conditions will be required. Work is completed in a facility where nuts, fruits and other allergens are present
