I further attest that all information I submit in my employment application is true to the best of my knowledge. **Job Description** Oral Drug Product Development (ODPD) is responsible for the formulation and transformation of Takeda's research pipeline into drug products. This internship will provide hands-on experience in pharmaceutical formulation, and 3D printing of pharmaceutical dosage forms. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that positively impact patient outcomes. **How You Will Contribute:** + Support installation and operationalization of the 3D printer. Establishing a job aid/instructional procedure, demonstrating capabilities/limitations using model compounds, and establishing a framework for rapid prototyping. Intern would learn about basic formulation/excipient considerations and material characterization techniques, including those for amorphous solid dispersions. + Documentation: Prepare detailed lab notebooks, technical reports, and presentations to communicate findings and progress effectively. + Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with analysts, and other scientists to support various stages of product development. **Internship Development Opportunities:** + Hands-on experience in a leading pharmaceutical company. + Mentorship from experienced professionals. + Networking opportunities with industry experts. **Job Requirements:** + Currently pursuing a Masters or PhD degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. + This position will be Fully Onsite and require 4+ days in the Cambridge office per week. + Having hands on experience with any of the equipment's such as tablet press, encapsulator, hardness tester, fluid bed, tablet coater, spray dryer, hot melt extruder, compaction simulator, 3D printer is a plus. + Having hands on experience with any of the characterization techniques such as FT-4, shear cell, texture analyzer, DSC, TGA, Mastersizer is a plus. + Strong interest in pharmaceutical formulation and development. + Excellent communication and teamwork skills. + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks. **Internship Eligibility** + Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship + Must be currently enrolled in a degree program graduating December 2026 or later + The internship program is 10-12 weeks depending on the two start dates (May 26th-14th) or (June 15th - August 21st) + The intern must be able to commit to one of these time frames + Able to work full time 40 hours a week during internship dates + Takeda does not provide a housing stipend or relocation support for the U.S Summer Internship Program **Program Highlights:** + Hands-on experience with real projects and responsibilities + Dedicated mentorship program pairing interns with experienced professionals + Networking opportunities with industry professionals and fellow interns + Internship events focused on professional and skills development + Exposure to multiple business areas or departments within a Pharmaceutical Organization Applications will be accepted between October 31st- November 16th **Takeda Compensation and Benefits** **Summary** We understand compensation may be an important factor as you consider an internship opportunity. The actual hourly wage offered will depend on the candidate's school year/level to be entered following completion of internship. The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
